Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ®
When pipes are clogged there is the right tool for each type of situation. High Pressure Hydro Jetting might be just what you need. If you have cooking grease, rocks, soap scum from a laundry room, grease from a dishwasher or grease in commercial kitchen floor sinks then High Pressure Hydro Jetting is the right solution for your clogged pipes. Because these situations all represent the accumulation of material build up over time they do not respond well to the traditional rooter type of cleaning. Traditional rootering (with a cable and cutting blade) pipes in these conditions may provide temporary relief but will NOT completely remove the material that has built up. When we High Pressure Hydro Jet your pipes clean we use regular water, the water is not heated, and contains no special chemicals. It cleans your pipes using 3,000 psi of water pressure and a flow rate of between 15-20 gallons a minute to break the clogged material free and wash it out the ends of the pipe and in to the sewer system. If there is a belly (low spot where water and materials collect in your plumbing) in the pipe, if there is sewage or paper build up on the inside of your pipe (especially at corners or junctions) then High Pressure Hydro Jetting will KNOCK OUT that build up when traditional rootering just does not work. If you are a restaurant owner or manager, a laundry owner or manager, or even a homeowner who suspects that grease, dirt, rocks, soap scum, sewage build-up, or paper accumulation are the problem with your pipes then please give us a call to schedule a visit.

Hydro Jetting Benefits

Hydro Jetting has a long history as the best drain pipe cleaning process for correcting the clogged problems caused be old galvanized and cast iron drain pipes. If your home has galvanized or cast iron drain pipes over 45 years old, then you are a prime candidate for hydro jetting to restore the health and vitality of your drainage system.

The Major Reasons to Hydro Jet your drain lines are:

  • Prevents damage to property or equipment.
  • Removes most if not all debris for a thorough cleaning.
  • Eliminates emergency drain problems.
  • Reduces downtime and potential loss of revenue for commercial clients.
  • Prompt troubleshooting and expert repairs.
  • Cleaner pipes with fewer service calls and less down time.
  • Huge money savings and extending the life of your plumbing infrastructure.
  • Quick, economical and environmentally safe.

HOW DOES HYDRO JETTING WORK?

One of the most extraordinary developments in sewer cleaning technology is the high-pressure water jet. A hose is moved through the sewer line by water streamed at a specific range of pressure. As the hose returns, the sewer line is cleaned by powerful forward and reverse jets of water, which wash the materials back for removal.
Hydro jetting is a process that uses high speed/high pressure water to clear and scour blockages in pipe systems. It is typically the best approach to clearing severely blocked lines. Hydro jetting will solve the problem, and when used as part of your routine maintenance solution, will keep your sewage and septic lines free and functioning properly. The technique of hydro jetting can be used in practically every industrial setting where cleaning and unclogging pipes is required. Maintenance of this kind will minimize eventual blockages that can result in a line breaking, which may then require more expensive and time consuming repairs. Our high-pressure pipe cleaning service successfully cleans tough blockages. It is especially useful when traditional snaking methods are ineffective. With the ability to break through pipeline debris, concrete slurry, tree roots and miscellaneous refuse, the hydro-jet unit is suitable for safely clearing storm and sewerage drain lines.

  • Use of Jet heads - to propel water against gravity at specific ranges of pressure.
  • High-pressure hose - that can deliver up to 7,000 psi when needed.
  • Root drive equipment - used to cut through tree roots to relieve drain blockages.
  • Removal of mineral deposits and other clogging factors when used in a routine maintenance program.
  • Hydro Jetting required in the preparation of pipe lining to ensure proper epoxy and resin bonding.
  • Video camera line - used to inspect internal and structural problems or line breakages, and to pinpoint precise locations required for excavation and repair.

Video cameras have become one of the most valuable tools in the plumbing business to find and locate the leaks and breaks in sewer lines. Specially made fiber optic cameras allow for a visual inspection of underground sewer lines and other piping to determine the condition of the inside of the pipe. A flexible rod with a high-resolution video camera on its tip is inserted into the pipe for inspection. Video images are transmitted to the camera operator and can be saved onto videotape or a DVD disk for a permanent record. Radio transmitters on the camera record the depth and physical location from the surface so that defects and obstructions can be corrected cost effectively.Learn more ......

Mr. Drain ® Sewer or Drain Leak Detection

Knowing how to detect a Sewer leak can be very important. Sewer leaks in a home are potentially deadly and need to resolve immediately. Sewer leaks can occur itself by the age of sewer line or if a sewer line is damaged while digging or excavating. Drain Repipe

During a drain re-pipe, all pipes from the foundation to the entire house including all branches, all secondary drains, soil stack and main waste drain are replaced Essentially, all drain piping in your home is removed and "re-piped" with newer, cleaner, more durable piping. To accomplish this, the old drain lines are removed from the walls, ceiling, floors and basement. The new lines are installed through the attic or around the home and drops them back into the walls where the original pipes were. The result is that outwardly, your plumbing fixtures have not changed at all, but the pipes that take the wastewater away are fresh and new. There are many reasons to re-pipe. The older metal pipes can become brittle and problematic with time. Cast iron and galvanized steel piping corrodes over time as well and the passage that water is able to flow through become smaller and smaller until it is without value to the homeowner. You should chose to re-pipe because it is less expensive to replace all of the piping than to continually patch holes and repair leaks. Another problem is flood. Learn more

What is Hydro Jetting?
Hydro-jet cleaning is a method of cleaning with high pressure streams of water to remove build up and debris in tanks and lines. When we talk about hydro jetting the drain or sewer lines it means to wash the drain or sewer lines at a minimum pressure of 1800 PSI to maximum pressure of 7000 PSI per minute using water as liquid. Hydro jetting just means that you are cleaning your drains with extreme water pressure. Hydro jetting is different from snaking or other types of drain cleaning because it requires heavier equipment and has to be done professionally. Hydro jetting is usually needed for commercial properties like restaurants or hospitals, but it can work for residences as well. Hydro-jetting is a sophisticated process that uses a combination of high speed / high pressure water to clear blockages and buildup in pipe systems and is typically the first approach to clearing chronically blocked lines. Excluding the possibility of a collapsed line, hydro jetting will solve the problem and thereafter routine maintenance will keep the lines free and flowing properly. Maintenance of this sort is optimal in ensuring that build-up or grease will not cause eventual blockages that could result in a line breakage requiring more drastic and expensive remediation.

Why Hydro Jetting or Hydro Flushing ®?

Hydro Jetting is a process in which your sewer pipes are scoured by streams of high-pressure water shooting out of a hose at up to 7000 psi. Hydro Jetting is typically done through an opening called a cleanout, which is an accessible opening present in every plumbing system and designed to allow plumbers to easily "clean out" debris and other clogs. Hydro Jetting can easily cut through the most stubborn roots and debris and remove built-up mineral deposits and other obstructions clogging the inside of your drainage line. Hydro Jetting can easily cut through the most stubborn drain clogs and remove built-up mineral deposits and other obstructions clogging the inside of your drain pipes.

These high-pressure streams are strong enough to cut through and clear out any debris in your sewer lines. Hydro Jetting is an appropriate solution when clogged drains cannot be cleared through traditional snaking or rooter service. Although most drain pipes in your home can be cleared with a standard electric drain snake, there are times when that just isn't enough. Hardened grease deposits and rust can reduce the interior of drain pipes causing persistent stoppages. A standard electric drain snake may only clear a small path through the problem, leaving the pipe vulnerable to another stoppage. Only the power of hydro jetting can insure that the pipe is not just unstopped, but is cleaned to a nearly new condition.

Why Hydro Jetting or Hydro Flushing ® over Snaking?
Over time fats, oils, and grease (FOG) coats, thickens, and accumulates inside pipelines, leading to the hazardous and costly flow of waste grease into drainage lines, sewer lines and sewage treatment plants. Once clogging occurs this may stop your business from running daily operations and even cause the business to close down at that time a regular snaking the drain line may also not work the only option left is either a hydro jetting at minimum 3000 PSI or replacement which might be costly and could keep you out of service for few days. At Mr. Drain ® Plumbing we offer combination of snaking ( rooting ) and hydro jetting service to suit the best solution for all draining problems. We also offer a free camera inspection to find and locate the location of blockage or any sewer or drain line damages that caused the problem.
Unlike snaking / rooting, hydro jetting uses high water pressure to clean pipes removing all build up that has accumulated inside the pipeline. To prevent your main lines and drains from clogging or to remove pipe build up hydro jetting is highly suggested to be done once every 3 to 9 months. Depending on the business traffic flow and the consumption of waste and grease this may vary from one company to another. Similar to human arteries, the more oily and greasy foods we eat our arteries are more likely to become clogged compared to someone who does not consume oily and fatty foods. Hydro jetting pipelines cleans the interior walls and eliminates waste build up that has accumulated over time. A typical rooting service can only poke through the blockage and within a few weeks the problem arises over again. Hydro jetting plumbing process involves inserting a high pressure stream of water flowing at 15-18 gallons per minute into the pipelines to clear waste build up.

Unlike snaking, hydro jetting will remove scum attached to the pipeline walls that a typical rooter cannot do. Restaurants and other food servicing companies most important lines are the kitchen and the main line leading to the sewer. It is imperative that these lines do not get clogged or your business may suffer due to the unpleasant odor. In addition, it is also hazardous to the employees. Furthermore, if the main line does back up or clog, it can cause the grease trap / interceptor to overflow which can lead to city citations and high fines.

Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ® Technology
Mr. Drain ® Plumbing now offers Hydro Flush ® technology to clear and un clog any drain that could not be cleared by a regular drain cleaning process. The process of Hydro Flush ® involves flushing out the drain lines using a gas driven pump that creates a water pressure up to 7000 PSI and the jet nozzles that throw water forward and backward the nozzles spin with the burst of water and washes out the inner walls of pipe and bringing the pipes to their original condition like they were installed the first day. This kind of water pressure will usually clear out the kind of grease, sand, and sediment that has built up in your drains. This is the kind of buildup that causes your sinks and dishwasher to back up. No one likes filthy water to come back up on them in the place where they wash their hands or their dishes. This is why it is important to get a Hydro Flush ® job done by your local Mr. Drain ® Plumbing, if you suspect that you have clogged pipes caused by something like grease.

If you want to avoid blocked pipes and save money? Just call Mr. Drain ® Plumbing of who offers Hydro Flush ® as a preventative measure as well as a standard clog solution. With the use of a water jet, a hose is propelled by water into the sewer lines under incredible pressure and as the hose returns the sewer line is cleaned by powerful jets of water which breaks up grease, debris and roots. With older technology, the cable would just clear a small path through the debris and because of this the line would often clog again shortly after the service. This service does not push the debris down the line but pulls it back for removal and thus minimizes the chances of future blockage. This is especially important when clearing debris such as grease, leaves, tree roots and even powder detergent that can often clog 100 feet or more of sewer line. By flushing out the pipes the chances of future blockage is greatly reduced and in turn there are less service calls and down time.

Typical Blockage Mr Drain @ Hydro Flushing @ Technology

Over time, accumulated build up on the inside of pipes such as grease, sand, scale, silt and any number of other sediments are the culprits in most cases. Our drain line video camera inspection systems allow us to inspect the internal workings of a pipe line to find and assess any existing problems. If a blockage is discovered, the hydro-jetting equipment is employed to resolve the problem. Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ® technology is the right way to go with.

The Problem
Do you know that many older homes were plumbed using galvanized and cast iron drain and sewer pipes? This was in the days when the long-term problems associated with galvanized or cast iron drain pipes were yet unrealized. These problems consist mainly of rust, grease and sludge buildup. If you have ever seen the inside of a rusted galvanized or a cast iron drainpipe, you know that it is not a pretty sight. The entire built-up slimy gunk constricts the flow of water, which results in the slow drains and drains flooding in your entire house this is all due to improper flowing of a drainage system. Hence your drains will not drain properly, the toilet will not flush properly if they do not drain an adequate flow of water. Over time, rust buildup and pipe deterioration can result in you having first a slow drains then the toilet will start making gurgling noises and start backing up in tub or toilet. Other symptom you may also notice is when you take showering the water stands in tub and your feet sinks completely in water. The water should not stand in tub that's the slow draining reason. If you notice the rust and gunk coming in your tub or shower then it's the rusted drain lines that filled with water and when backed up brought rust and gunk, when the waste drained it left the rust in tub. More worse is the laundry drain back ups.

The laundry drains 2 times more gallons of water then taking a normal shower. If you have old rusted drain lines which gives you periodic back up will cause flood in your house, crawlspace, basement and rooms damaging your floors, structure and foundation. Some time home insurances also don't cover the damages caused by sewage flood.

Following are some of the conditions when you need a whole house drains repipe. Old drainage system
  • Can cause serious health risk
  • Can cause sewerage smell in your home
  • Can be reason of slow drains or no drains at all
  • Can cause toilet over flow and flood
  • Can flood bathroom when run laundry or dishwasher
  • Can cause leaks from drain pipes in ceiling and walls
  • Galvanized pipes can deteriorate quickly
  • Can fill tub, shower and sink with very minimum use
  • Can show decay symptoms
  • Can result in pipe splits
  • Can result in visible corrosion
  • Can be reason of flies, bacteria and sewage bugs
When you have all these decay symptoms than a new drain repipe is needed to restore your home's drainage system to its full capacity. Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ® technology will bring your home back to its original health and function. When you need hydro jetting service Mr. Drain ® Plumbing of is your #1 choice for plumbing professionals. We will work with you to find the drain recover solution that best fits your needs. The Solution
Many older houses experience chronic drain problems because of deteriorating pipes that are rusted, corroded, have deteriorating joints or built up minerals restricting flow. Often with older homes the cost effective solution is to hydro jett the existing drain lines. Being a homeowner you should understand a whole house repipe is a major undertaking is usually a completely unexpected and substantial expense. Take advantage of Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ® technology we would love to help you save some money. Give us a call to come out to your home or business to help you figure out if your plumbing problems are due to eroding pipes and if so to what extent drain pipes may need to be flushed.

The Process
One of the most extraordinary developments in drain and sewer cleaning technology is the high-pressure water jet. A hose is moved through the sewer line by water streamed at a specific range of pressure. As the hose returns, the sewer line is cleaned by powerful forward and reverse jets of water, which wash the materials back for removal.

  • Use of Jet heads - to propel water against gravity at specific ranges of pressure.

How Hydro Jetting or Hydro Flush ® Work?
The jetting tool works in two ways: First, the jetting tool has a high water pressure stream that cleans your pipes while it moves forward. Second, the way the jetting tool moves down the pipes is because it is propelled forward by reverse water jets. These reverse water jets work along with the forward water jet to break up all of the obstructions in your drain or sewer pipes. This is because there are about 6 to 8 reverse water jets that work to break up the blockage in you drain. The reverse water jets are really what work to break up the blockage in your drain when the forward nozzle is pulled back against the rear water jets to create a force that will clean any drain without having to perform major construction on your pipes. Your Local Mr. Drain ® plumber may also have some other solutions that you may not have considered. This is why it's better to call them and get some useful information, and also a free estimate before you do any major construction work on your property that involves working on the drains.
Hydro Jetting is typically done through an opening called a cleanout, which is an accessible opening present in every plumbing system and designed to allow plumbers to easily "clean out" debris and other clogs. A Hydro Jetter consists of a large tank of water, a special high-pressure hose, a special high-strength nozzle, and a machine, which pressurizes the water in the hose so that it can spray out of the nozzle at a pressurized rate of up to 7000 PSI and a flow rate of 25 GPM. Every plumbing system is designed to carry waste water "downstream" using gravity. The Hydro Jetting nozzle is placed at the "downstream" end of the plumbing system and it works its way "upstream" against gravity. That way, any debris that is cleared out by the Hydro Jetter will harmlessly flow downstream where the drainage path is already clear. The Mr. Drain ® Hydro Flush ® technology is capable of clearing out sewer lines over a length of several hundred feet

Why Hydro Jetting
Hydro Jetting is an appropriate solution when clogs cannot be removed through traditional snaking, such as in the presence of stubborn roots that have found their way into your sewer lines. Hydro Jetting is also required before Pipe Lining because any debris present in the existing pipe may cause the epoxy lining resin to be malformed and / or prevent it from bonding correctly to the existing pipe.

Hydro Jetting can easily cut through the most stubborn roots and debris and remove built-up mineral deposits and other obstructions clogging the inside of your drainage line. Although Hydro Jetting is strong enough to clear out roots from your sewer lines, any amount of root penetration is cause for serious concern. Root penetration pervasive enough to cause repeated backups indicates that the roots have gotten thick enough over time to damage the pipe and its protective waterproof inner coating. In those instances, Angel Plumbers recommends getting a Camera Inspection to determine the seriousness of the condition, because sewer line replacement via Pipe Bursting may be required.

Hydro Jetting Drain Cleaning can be your solution to a clogged drain! Hydro Jetting, sometimes called hydro scrubbing, uses high pressure water to clean out drains. This is an alternative method to regular snaking or rooting in some cases. Hydro Jetting uses very high pressure water streams to cut through clogs and blockages in sewer drains, area yard drains and storm drains. At approximately 7000 PSI, Hydro Jetting can cut through the toughest debris and stoppages and is frequently used in restaurants and commercial applications where grease, food waste or industrial debris is present. Hydro Jetting can also be effective in resolving odor issues in drains with heavy debris or grease build-up. Call us to discuss your drain cleaning issues and the experienced professionals at Lloyd's Plumbing will help you choose the method that right for your drain cleaning problem and budget. We're here to help!

Drain Cleaning
All your household drains lead into your main drain line, which finally connects to a city sewer line or a private disposal system also called septic tank. If the main sewer line clogs, toilets and drains throughout your house will begin to backup and may cause your house to flood. This is usually a very stressful and messy situation for homeowners and it can happen at any time of the day or night. That's why Mr. Drain ® of Fremont Plumbing is a 24 hour plumbing company that you deserve. A Mr. Drain Plumbing ® of Fremont Expert using a Mr. Drain ® Roto Senior 10-65 machine will cut through the clog and clean the main sewer pipe right down to its inner walls. If the technician has any indication there is a problem with the main sewer line, he may perform a free video camera inspection to determine if the pipe is damaged or corroded. The technician will share the video with the homeowner and present options for sewer line repair or replacement if necessary. See the Drain Repair and Trenchless or Pipe Bursting.
